Despite the fact that in my city there are no specialized shops selling bonsai, they can be purchased at some flower stalls. Unfortunately, the condition of these trees leaves much to be desired. And they are bought as gifts by people who do not know what they are worthpay attention whenbuying bonsai.This is how I became the owner of a dwarftea tree, it was given to me as a gift. The type of plant was not immediately determined, and when I asked the saleswoman the name of the tree, she could not say anything other than "bonsai".

The first thing that caught my eye was a beautiful rough trunk of a plant on which traces were visiblewires, damaging the bark. They are quite noticeable and it will take a long time before the wire marks disappear.
When examining the branches and foliage, I found white cotton-like fluffy lumps on the shoots. It turned out that these were eggs.mealybug, which was found on one of the branches. The insect was destroyed and its deposits were removed with a cotton swab dipped in soapy water. After that, the plant was treated with a special preparation (twice, with an interval of a week).
