Crown formation in Myrtle

ThisMyrtleI was given it in the spring. Myrtle is grown both indoors and outdoors. Watering should be regular, but not abundant. The plant tolerates pruning well and you can give the crown of the myrtle tree the desired shape.

Before the vacation I cut off the young shoots, but a month later my myrtle grew again. I decided to slightlytrim the crown.

Crown formation in Myrtle
The tree before removing young shoots

We trim the branches to the first internode at the top of the plant, and to the second at the bottom.

For trimming I used regular manicure scissors
Over the summer the branches managed to grow quite a bit.

The work on the crown did not take much time. I just brought the tree back to its original form.

This is what I got. To achieve the desired result, the crown still needs some work. As you can see, there are a few missing branches to achieve a more round and lush crown.

There are a few branches left and the pruning will be complete.
The tree has taken shape, but it is far from ideal.

After two weeks, young shoots began to appear on the myrtle again.

With young shoots the crown looks thicker
The myrtle crown is not perfect, but already has an attractive appearance.
In the end, there were quite a lot of scraps.
